Hoy logré armar el cuarto miembro de la familia Hacker-Bot el Stepper. Todavía está en carácter bastante prototípico, aún tengo que cargarle los sensores y enseñarle a hacer muchos trucos pero al menos ya anda. Lo más lindo es que el Hacker-Bot Stepper ya sabe dibujar.
Today I managed to assemble the fourth member of the Hacker-Bot family the Hacker-Bot Stepper. Is still quite prototypical, I have to load it with the sensors and teach them to do many tricks but at least it euns. The nicest thing is that this Hacker-Bot can draw.

Hacker-Bots es una plataforma robótica educativa y Open Source que estoy desarrollando hace un tiempo. El concepto de diseño es como el del tractor que no es más que un gran motor y caja de cambios con ruedas sobre la que va un asiento. Los Hacker-Bots son una estructura muy sencilla, motorizada controlada por un microprocesador Arduino y que carga todo tipo de sensores. La idea es hacer funcionar esta plataforma con distintos tipos de motores, controles de velocidad y que reaccione desde el microprocesador de acuerdo a lo que van captando los sensores del ambiente alrededor. Así de puede ir aprendiendo con la práctica a programar el microprocesador Arduino. Estas son las primeras fotos oficiales de los Hacker-Bots desarrollados hasta ahora.

Hacker -Bots is a robotic educational Open Source platform that I have been developing for a while. The design concept is like the tractor that is just a great engine and gearbox with wheels on which is a seat. The Hacker -Bots are a very simple structure, controlled by an Arduino microprocessor, charging all kinds of sensors. The idea is to run this platform with various types of motors, speed controls to react from the microprocessor according to what the sensors are capturing from the environment around. So you can learning by doing how to program the Arduino microprocessor. These are the first official pictures of the Hacker -Bots developed so far.

El nombre Hacker-Bot nace, primero, de un homenaje a Mitch Altman y su definición de Hackear: Hackear es tomar algo que ya existe, mejorarlo a través de su manipulación y después compartirlo y segundo a que son absolutamente hackeables. Me queda claro si que los Hacker-Bots van a ir sufriendo muchas modificaciones a lo largo de su desarrollo y es muy probable que en un poco tiempo más sean completamente distintos.
The name Hacker- Bot is born, first, as a tribute to Mitch Altman and his definition of Hacking: Hacking is about taking anything that exists in the world as a resource, and changing it and sharing it with people. and secondly: They are absolutely hackable . It is clear that the Hacker -Bots will be undergoing many changes throughout its development and it is for sure that in a short time they will beare completely different .
